We’ll then do a comprehensive inspection of your vessel and get more specific about the design. We’ll assist you in choosing colours, patterns, personalised designs and fish ruler options.
Once we get the go ahead it’s on to templating.

Template
The meticulous work and thought that goes into this step is what makes the finished product so impressive.
We carefully create the exact pattern of your boat making sure we get in all the nooks and crannies and all the weirdly shaped bits. Boats aren’t perfectly symmetrical and often are customised. So while this part is time consuming, it’s also the most important!
The template is then digitised by the talented Deck Armour graphic design team so we can create a proof of your complete design.
Once you’re happy with it, it’s off to get cut – then comes the fun part.

Installation
Trust us. Your deck will never be as clean as it will be after we get through with it. All the surfaces will be thoroughly chemically cleaned and prepared. Then we carefully lay each peace of your new flooring making sure it is positioned and adhered perfectly.
Finally, it gets pressure rolled to ensure the uniquely designed adhesive bonds. After a days wait time, all that’s left is to get out on the water and enjoy your new boating experience!

Upon acceptance of the quote, from templating to install the turnaround time is around 3-6 weeks under usual circumstances.
This is because we rely on Deck Armour to custom design and cut the sheets then post them to us here in Hervey Bay before arranging a time to install with you.
Naturally, there can be occasional manufacturing delays, but we will advise you of this as soon as we know of it from HQ.
Yes you can! The combination of proper preparation and high grade adhesive means that the flooring will stick to many surfaces including checker plate.
We will advise you if we think a removable mat option would be best.
Following Deck Armour’s care guidelines is extremely important to make sure your flooring stays in top shape for the longest time.

Deck Armour is a UV Stable product. That means it has a temperature rating of up to 65 degrees celcius. It also stays cool underfoot.
LIGHT AMPLIFICATION: When sunlight gets reflected and magnified onto areas of your boat the temperatures can well exceed 70 degrees celsius. This may cause the flooring to distort, release from the deck or possibly turn black – although we haven’t experienced this ourselves but we do keep it covered when not in use.
Light amplification can happen within 30 minutes so it is important to be aware of it. Problem areas are places like under windscreens, highly reflective areas like glossy fibreglass and stainless steel.
It’s recommended that you keep your vessel covered when not in use. For more information see here.
Do not pressure wash your flooring! Only a medium to light pressure hose is needed.
Deck Armour is stain resistant! Squid ink, Fish blood & Sunscreen will all come off if you follow the cleaning instructions found here.
